Traffic patterns 

Which routes do the larger ships follow when they sail through Danish territorial waters? We have created three charts where you can see the density of traffic and traffic patterns round the whole of Denmark, in the Sound (Øresund) and in the Great Belt (Storebælt).

The charts are based on the information transmitted by larger ships with AIS (Automatic Identification System). The charts therefore show only the density and sailing patterns of ships with AIS transmitters.
